Danilo Mališić

Danilo is Oktopeak's US partner and, for most American firms, the first person here they speak to.

The role exists because of a specific problem. A firm in the US evaluating a development team based in Serbia has a reasonable set of questions that have nothing to do with engineering: who picks up when something breaks at 9am Eastern, who is accountable if a deadline moves, and whether the people on the sales call are the people who do the work. Having someone in the US who owns those answers, and who stays involved after the contract is signed rather than handing off to a project manager nobody has met, is the answer to most of them.

He works across first conversations, scoping, and delivery follow-through, which means the context from the first call does not have to be re-explained to a stranger three weeks later. The engineering team in Novi Sad overlaps most of the working day with London and reaches the US East Coast every morning, and Danilo covers the American hours that fall outside it, so questions raised during US business hours get answered during US business hours rather than the following morning.
