[ LAWMATICS INTEGRATION ]
Lawmatics stays your intake system. We build what it doesn't include: the automations that were promised but never got finished, the reporting your pipeline data deserves, the sync with Clio that ends double data entry, and AI that answers questions from your own CRM. Your firm owns everything we build.

[ WHAT WE BUILD ]
Lawmatics runs your intake, pipeline, and marketing. Here is the work firms actually hire us for on top of it — all built around how your firm runs, and all owned by you.
The most common ask. The drip sequences and intake workflows that justified the subscription get audited, fixed, or rebuilt — and documented so your office manager can maintain them. Where the native builder is the wrong tool, we build the piece against the API instead.
Matters by source, practice area, and stage — with custom fields — on a schedule or on demand. Native reports wall on cross-tabs and the CSV export drops matter fields; the API route doesn't. The four pathways, compared.
Ask about any lead or matter and get an answer drawn from your own Lawmatics data, custom fields included. Built on our free open-source Lawmatics connector — with a read-only mode for a risk-free start.
Beyond the native convert-to-Clio handoff: field maps with custom fields, idempotent matter creation, and one view across both systems. Ends the era of typing the same client in twice. What the two-system stack really costs.
Accounting, e-signature, lead sources, data warehouse — synced through the API and the dashboard webhooks, so the same information stops getting typed in twice. Your data stays on your own systems.
For firms paying for intake, contacts, e-sign, and billing twice across Lawmatics and a practice management system: one system you own outright. A real project, taken on only when the 3-year math clearly wins. The decision framework.
[ THE TWO-SYSTEM FIX ]
The native handoff converts a matter once. A built sync keeps contacts, matters, and custom fields agreeing in both directions — idempotent, so a re-run never duplicates.

Discovery call
30 minutes, free. We hear what Lawmatics was supposed to do.
Audit & quote
What's a config fix, what's a build, what's not worth paying for. Fixed price, in writing.
Build
2–6 weeks depending on scope, with a working demo every week.
Handoff
Source code, documentation, and training. You own it; no per-seat fees.
[ START SMALL ]
The connector is free and open source. The first call is free. The TCO math is free. Paid work starts only when there is something concrete worth paying for — and you see the fixed price before you commit.
FREE
Install it yourself from GitHub, MIT licensed. Or grab the 15-minute setup guide.
GUIDED
We deploy the connector in your firm: Developer Settings request, read-only or full rollout, audit log, one working workflow with your intake team. See Guided Setup.
CUSTOM
Sync layers, reporting, automation rescue, consolidation builds, and one deployment for every attorney. Scoped and fixed-priced after discovery.
[ FAQ ]
Yes. Lawmatics exposes a REST API covering matters, contacts, companies, pipelines, stages, practice areas, marketing sources, tasks, events, notes, tags, custom fields, intake forms, and invoices, plus outbound webhooks configured in the dashboard. One catch: API access is gated — a firm has to ask Lawmatics support to enable Developer Settings (free), and the API sits on the Pro plan.
We build directly against the Lawmatics API. You can read our open-source Lawmatics integration code before you hire us.
Yes, and we already shipped the open-source connector that does it. Our Lawmatics MCP server (@oktopeak/lawmatics-mcp on npm, the first Lawmatics connector on Anthropic's official MCP Registry) gives Claude 37 tools across your pipeline, custom fields, intake forms, tasks, and invoices. It runs locally, your token never leaves your machine, every call is logged locally, and a config-level read-only mode removes all write tools for cautious firms.
On top of that free connector we build custom workflows: pipeline reporting, intake-to-matter automation, and syncs with the rest of your stack.
This is the most common Lawmatics conversation we have. Firms buy the platform for the automations, the automations never get finished, and staff end up doing manually what the system was supposed to do — public reviews call the result "expensive shelfware."
We audit what exists, fix or rebuild the sequences that matter, and leave you documentation your office manager can maintain. Where the native automation builder is genuinely the wrong tool, we say so and build the piece outside it against the API.
Yes. The native integration converts matters from Lawmatics into Clio, but firms running both still maintain duplicate contacts, intake data, e-signature, and billing features on both sides. We build the sync layer that fits your actual handoff: field maps including custom fields, idempotent matter creation (re-runs never duplicate), and one reporting view across both systems.
Before commissioning anything, read our breakdown of what the two-system stack really costs — sometimes the right first step is smaller than a sync build.
Sometimes — and sometimes absolutely not. Consolidation wins when a firm is paying for intake, contacts, e-signature, and billing twice, the workflow layer is locked to two vendors, and the 3-year math favors owning one system. Two tools win when the firm is small, the marketing automation genuinely earns its keep daily, and nobody wants to own software.
We run that math with your real numbers in a free discovery call, and we hold ourselves to a simple rule: if the analysis says stay put, we tell you to stay put. The decision framework is public: build vs buy for legal case management.
It depends on scope. A single automation fix is a small, fixed engagement; a Lawmatics–Clio sync or a reporting layer is a mid-sized one; a consolidation build is a project. We don't put a number on it until we understand what your firm actually needs.
Discovery is free. After a 30-minute call we send a fixed-price proposal within five business days, so you see the whole cost up front, with no per-seat fees on anything we build for you. Book a 30-minute call.
And if you're weighing an integration bill against what Lawmatics itself costs, here is the three-year math.
The Guided Setup of the Lawmatics + Claude connector is a 2-week engagement. Automation rescue typically runs 2-4 weeks. Custom sync and reporting builds run 4-6 weeks for the build phase plus embedded support during rollout.
We give you a real timeline in the free discovery call.
Yes, and it's public. We built and open-sourced the Lawmatics MCP connector (@oktopeak/lawmatics-mcp) — the first Lawmatics MCP server listed on Anthropic's official MCP Registry, published August 2026. You can read every line of our Lawmatics integration code before you talk to us. We are honest about its newness too: it was built against the official API documentation and the README says plainly what has and hasn't been verified on live accounts yet.
Integrating vertical legal SaaS APIs is our core work: we shipped the same for Clio, MyCase, and Filevine.
No. Lawmatics stays your intake and marketing system. We build integrations, reporting, and AI workflows on top of it through the API. No migration, no disruption to your pipeline. The work layers onto the platform you already run — unless the math says consolidation, in which case that becomes its own explicit decision, never a side effect.
